TIFFIN, Ohio – Last weekend, Notre Dame College track and field sent multiple athletes to compete at the Tiffelberg Open, hosted by Tiffin University and Heidelberg University.
 
On the men's side, Matthew Griffin ran an 11.4 in the 100-meter dash and finished fourth in his heat. In the 800m run, DeAco Curry (1:59.87) was third in his heat and 11th overall, while Patrick McIlroy ran a 2:08.10. Kyle Perry competed in the shot put event, putting up a 10.33m, and then had a 33.34m in the discus throw.
 
On the women's team, Lucy Osztfalk posted a 21:06.05 in the 5000m, which was good for sixth place. Samantha Rieger competed in the shot put event and finished with a throw of 9.0m, to go along with a 23.21m in the discus throw. Gabrielle Minick (2:47.07) ran in the 800m.
 
Next weekend, the Falcons will travel to Williamsburg, Va. for the Colonial Relays, hosted by the College of William & Mary. The competition runs from April 5-April 7.
