NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. –
DeAco Curry highlighted the day at the Westminster Invitational for Notre Dame College track and field last weekend as he finished with the fastest time in the 800m event.
Curry was placed in the second heat of the 800, and he dominated. Not only did he take the top spot, overall, but he beat everyone else in that heat by over three seconds. The Barberton, Ohio native crossed the finish line with a time of 1:57.09, while the Grove City athlete in second place, Isaac Busler, posted a 2:00.89.
Patrick McIlroy also ran in the 800, and finished with a time of 2:12.48. He posted a throw of 32.3m in the Javelin.
Kyle Perry took 18th place in Discus, with a final throw of 33.35m and
Matthew Griffin finished the 100m dash with a time of 11.66.
Lucy Osztfalk was one of just three women to run in the 10,000 meter run at the meet and she had a time of 44:41.
Samantha Rieger was back at it last weekend, with an 8.67m in the Shot Put and a 21.48m in the Discus.
Notre Dame will be heading to the Sparky Adams Invitational this weekend, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University.
