ASHLAND, Ohio – Competing at the Third Jud Logan "Light Giver" Open, Notre Dame College had several impressive performances, including top 15 performances by
Kalie Blaising,
Samantha Comer,
Dante Abrams Jr. and
Matthew Griffin.
NDC traveled south for their fourth competition of the indoor season. In the field events, Comer came home with 12th place in the high jump, going 1.5 meters. Abrams went to work in the long jump event and posted a leap of 6.23m.
Comer also ran the 60m hurdles, finishing third in her heat, and 12th overall, with a time of 9.37. Blaising took 13th place, overall in the 60m dash, posting a time of 8.52. She would also finish second in her heat, and 14th overall, in the 400m dash, at 1:03.34.
Abrams' solid day continued when he grabbed 12th in the 60m dash, putting 7.25 seconds on the board. Also in the 60,
Matthew Griffin was right behind at 7.27.
Notre Dame's 4x400m relay team of Abrams, Griffin,
Patrick McIlroy and
DeAco Curry finished with a time of 3:35.82.
NDC will head back to Geneva next weekend for the Spire Indoor Games, on Feb. 10.
