BEREA, Ohio – Last Friday, Notre Dame College indoor track & field had an impressive showing at the Baldwin Wallace Mid-February Meet.

Samantha Comer performed well, again, finishing with the fastest time in the preliminaries of the 55 meter hurdles, at 8.82. She followed that up by going faster in the finals, posting an 8.65, while the competitor who finished in second place crossed the stripe with a mark of 9.07. Comer then took fifth place in the high jump event, posting a leap of 1.48m. Kalie Blaising was also in the high jump and put a 1.38 on the scoreboard.

Blaising finished third in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 28.03, grabbing six team points. 

Dante Abrams Jr., Matthew Griffin, Patrick McIlroy and DeAco Curry made up the Falcons' 4x400m team that crossed the finish line first, with a mark of 3:39.28.

Abrams (6.77) and Griffin (6.82) both finished in the top-6 in the 55m prelims and qualified for the finals. In the finals, Abrams went down the track in a time of 6.69 in the finals, taking fourth. Griffin had a final sprint of 6.72 to take fifth.

Abrams also grabbed some team points by taking sixth in the 200m race, with a time of 23.83. Griffin (24.39) and Devetress Green (25.97) were both in the top-20.

McIlroy took second in the 800m, posting a time of 2:10.99. Gabrielle Minick placed second in the 800m (2:55.29) and third in the 400m (1:11.28).

Samantha Reiger posted a throw of 8.55m in shot put event, while Kyle Perry had an 11.58m on the men's side.

The Falcons will be at the Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invite, on Feb. 16, hosted by Case Western Reserve University.
