CLEVELAND – Notre Dame College track and field returned to competition for the indoor season, on Saturday. Multiple Falcons grabbed top ten finishes throughout the afternoon.
Samantha Comer took first place in second heat of the 60-meter hurdles prelims, with a time of 9.73, which was the third best time of any competitor. In the final of the 60 hurdles, Comer placed fifth, at 9.81. She was also tied for second with a mark of 1.55-meters in the high jump event.
On the men's side,
Jason Freeman set a mark of 1.85 meters, placing him in a tie for fourth place in the high jump event.
In the final of the 200 dash,
Kalie Blaising took the top spot in the first section, going 28.39, which was the fifth fastest mark of the meet. Blaising took second place in her heat of the 60-meter dash prelims, taking 10th place, overall, with a time of 8.48.
Dante Abrams time of 7.22 in the 60 was good enough for second place in his heat and 12th overall.
Samantha Rieger placed seventh in her flight with a shot put throw of 8.6m.
Next up, NDC will head to Geneva, Ohio, on Jan. 20, for the Spire Midwest Open.
