SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Notre Dame College football head coach Garrett Mack announced the Falcons' 2024 Signing Day Class, on Wednesday. Seventeen student-athletes will be joining NDC, looking to continue the program's success.
 
"I am very excited for the future of Notre Dame College Football," Mack said. "I think we did a great job focusing on filling roster needs with great people and great players. I want to thank my staff, the entire athletic department and everyone who helped make this year's signing class a success."
 
Along with the incoming freshmen that were announced, the coaching staff brought in 11 midyear transfers who will be on the roster when the Falcons open camp next August.
 
Last fall, Notre Dame football had a record of 7-3, overall, going 6-3 against Mountain East Conference opponents. The program has won at least seven games in every full-length season since 2016, and has five, or more, wins in each of the last ten seasons.
 
After the 2023 season, 12 players took All-MEC honors. Idris Lawrence, James Faulkner, Carson Heidecker, Lavell Gibson, Isaiah Stephens, Antoine Holloway II and Cameron Shirkey were all named to the First Team. Dominic Buttazzoni and Zachary Slapnicker both took a spot on the Second Team, while Lane Martinez-Beasley, Emarion Perkins and Nathan Rosario-Santos were honorable mentions. Buttazzoni, Gibson, Heidecker and Slapnicker were also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Heidecker was given a Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Super Region-1 Second Team award, before joining Lawrence in becoming an All-America selection from the Don Hansen Football Committee.
 
Among Mountain East Conference opponents in 2023, NDC ranked fourth in points scored per game (31.9) and fourth in points allowed per game (24.2). The Falcons' 411.9 yards of total offense per game and their 202.2 yards of rushing offense both ranked third in the MEC. NDC allowed just 10 sacks, which was tied for the lead in the conference and the team's 221 first downs were second highest in the MEC. The Notre Dame defense held teams to 30.6-percent third down conversion percentage, second best in the conference, and 20th in NCAA Division II.

Thomas Burton | Defensive Back | Canton, Ohio | Canton McKinley High School
Burton stood out while playing safety for Canton McKinley throughout his high school career.
 
Max Cochran | Offensive Line | Canton, Ohio | Canton South High School
A well-rounded student-athlete at Canton South, Cochran played four sports. Standing at 6-4, 275 lbs., he was tough to move while on the gridiron.
 
Chris Flora | Offensive Line | Youngstown, Ohio | Cardinal Mooney High School
Flora stands at 6-6, 302 lbs. and was a mainstay on the offensive line at Cardinal Mooney.
 
DeJuan Harris | Defensive Back | Cincinnati, Ohio | Withrow High School
As a cornerback, Harris used his 6-3 frame to become a threat for opposing offenses.
 
CJ Hawkins | Running Back | Cincinnati, Ohio | Taft High School
The 5-10, 205 lbs. running back starred in the backfield at Taft High School.
 
Caleb Herzog | Defensive Line | Cincinnati, Ohio | Turpin High School
The 6-4, 195 lbs. Herzog showed his athleticism at defensive end for Turpin.
 
Keith Kendrick | Defensive Line | Akron, Ohio | Akron East High School
Kendrick earned Third Team All-Ohio honors while playing defensive tackle at Akron East.
 
Zyaire Lewis | Wide Receiver | Akron, Ohio | Buchtel High School
Lewis was a top receiver while playing at Buchtel High School.
 
Mitchell Lindsey | Offensive Line | Wickliffe, Ohio | Wickliffe High School
Lindsey found success protecting his quarterback at Wickliffe, while standing at 6-5, 325 lbs.
 
Mekhi Mack | Offensive Line | Canton, Ohio | Canton McKinley High School
For his work on the field at Canton McKinley, Mack earned All-Federal League honorable mention. For his work in the classroom, he was named to the merit roll five times and earned an engineering certification.
 
Chris Payne | Defensive Back | Cincinnati, Ohio | Withrow High School
Payne played nickleback for Withrow.
 
Gavin Schlichter | Offensive Line | Hamilton, Ohio | Badin High School
The 6-3, 315 lbs. Schlichter was a major piece of the offensive line in his time at Badin.
 
Anthony Shields | Defensive Line | Columbus, Ohio | East High School
Standing at 6-4 as a defensive end, Shields took All-Conference honors, twice, All-District honors, twice, and All-State honors as a member of the football program. The five-sport athlete also took a spot on the honor roll.
 
Adrien Siembida-Williams | Linebacker | Elyria, Ohio | Elyria High School
After a successful career at Elyria High School, Siembida-Williams will join the NDC linebacker corps.
 
Donte Waddington-Jones | Offensive Line | Sandusky, Ohio | Sandusky High School
At 6-2, 280 lbs. Waddington-Jones was a force on the offensive line for Sandusky High School. He was a First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Conference award winner. He also took home All-Ohio honorable mention. In the classroom, he took a spot on the honor roll.
 
Brailon Wilcox | Defensive Back | Canton, Ohio | GlenOak High School
Wilcox showed his speed at GlenOak as a member of the football team and the track and field program. He earned All-Academic Ohio in the classroom.
 
Quintin Wilson | Defensive Line | Willoughby Hills, Ohio | Willoughby South High School
Wilson was a difference maker on the defensive line for South High School.
