Notre Dame has now had at least one player take D2CCA honors in seven of the last eight seasons. And in each of the last six seasons, an NDC offensive lineman has earned an All-Region award.
Following the 2023 campaign, Heidecker was named to the All-MEC First Team for the second consecutive season. He is also an Academic All-District award winner, taking that honor in 2022.
The junior from Columbia Station, Ohio started all 10 games on the offensive line for NDC. He blocked for an offense that averaged over 200 rushing yards per game and opened up holes for First Team All-MEC running back
Idris Lawrence. The Falcons averaged at least 30 points per game for the 10th consecutive season and had 221 first downs, which ranks 45th in the country. Notre Dame's line allowed just 10 total sacks, which is 10th best in Division II.
