This Week: The Notre Dame College volleyball team hosts a pair of MEC foes, beginning with West Liberty University on Tuesday Oct. 24 at 7 p.m., followed by Davis & Elkins College on Friday Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. for Dig Pink night.

Records: NDC begins the week at 6-12, including 4-5 in the MEC, tied for sixth place in the Mountain East Conference. WLU owns a record of 18-6 (7-2 MEC) and tied for third in the MEC. D&E is 1-19 (0-9 MEC) and in 11

Coaches Corner: Erica Kostelac takes over the Notre Dame College volleyball program in her first season as head coach. Riley Jarrett is in her fourth season as head coach of West Liberty, maintaining a career mark of 67-36. Moneshia McKenney is in charge of Davis & Elkins in her first season as head coach.

Series History: NDC is 9-14 all-time when facing West Liberty, dating back to their first meeting in 2011 and including WLU's four-set victory back on Sept. 26. The Falcons are 2-7 all-time against Davis & Elkins, dating back to their first meeting in 2012 and including the Senators four-set victory last season in Elkins, WV.

Noting the Falcons: Last week, Notre Dame ran into the top two teams in the MEC South Division on the road, falling to West Virginia State on Friday and Charleston on Saturday in straight sets.

Freshman
Sydney Bray highlights the Notre Dame College offense with 4.12 kills per set, leading the team and the Mountain East Conference, while ranking 21
st in NCAA Division II. The Woodstock Ga. native posts 4.85 points per set, the top mark on the team and in the MEC, while being 14
th in DII. Additionally, the Etowah High School product ranks 10
th in the MEC with a .262 attack percentage.

Samantha Comer flashes 3.17 kills per set, ninth-best in the MEC.

Jayme Zoeckler sets up the team with 9.52 assists per set, ranking second in the MEC. Zoeckler now owns 1,847 career assists, 25 shy of tying Rachel Pragg (1990-93) for sixth on the NDC all-time leaderboard.

Kiley Kalina anchors the team with 3.89 digs per set, seventh in the MEC. The Smithville, Ohio native has totaled 1,095 career digs, 10
th on the NDC all-time list and five away from tying Cristin Brown (2008-10).

Kalina (253) is joined by Bray (183), Zoeckler (161) and Comer (132) as Falcons north of 100 digs on the year. At the net, Bray (38), Palmer (38) and Baker (33) lead the team in blocks.

On the year, Notre Dame averages 11.9 kills per set on a .164 attack percentage, to go along with 11.1 assists per set, 1.7 aces per set, 15.3 digs per set and 1.6 blocks per set.

Noting the Hilltoppers: Last week, West Liberty downed Glenville State on Friday and Concord on Saturday in four-sets, improving their winning streak to four games in a row.

Katelynn Fritz headlines a balanced WLU offense with 242 kills at 2.69 kills per set. Liv McAtee, Leah Driscoll and Ashley Cudnik all boast marks north of 2.00 kills per set.

Dakoda Keni is the team's top facilitator as she ranks fifth in the MEC with 7.82 assists per set.

Defensively, Nyia Setla is seated second in the MEC with 4.87 digs per set as she posts 453 digs to lead the team. Fritz, Keni and Bella Dart add to the defense for the Hilltoppers with 200 or more digs apiece. At the net, Grace Hill is seventh in the conference in blocks per set at 0.97, owning 75 on the year.

As a team, Wets Liberty averages 12.2 kills per set on a .195 attack percentage, to go along with 11.2 assists per set, 1.7 aces per set, 16.7 digs per set and 1.6 blocks per set.

Noting the Senators: Last week, Davis & Elkins stumbled against Fairmont State on Friday and Frostburg State on Saturday in straight sets, extending their winless streak to nine in a row, dating back to their lone win of the year a 3-0 victory on Sept. 22 over Salem.

Gracjana Rozanska (78), Reanne DeBose (76) and Brittany Portley (73) are the trio that lead the Senators offensively in kills. Simone Daniels is the team's primary setter, posting 279 dimes at 4.98 assists per set.

Defensively, Clara Caralt owns the eighth-most digs per set in the league with 3.86, totaling 251 on the year.
