Erica Kostelac

Erica Kostelac was hired as head coach of the Notre Dame College volleyball program in Jan. 2023. She will be entering her first season on the sideline.

Following her first season at the helm, Sydeny Bray became the program's first MEC Freshman of the Year, including the first freshman to be named All-Region in program history. NDC notched 10 wins, including seven inside the Mountain East Conference to receive a berth into the MEC Tournament. Kostelac and the Falcons were a force to be reckoned with at home, tallying a record of 7-1 inside Murphy Gymnasium.

While head coach, Kostelac has led players to one All-Region and one Academic All-Region selection. In the MEC, a Falcon has won MEC Freshman of the Year once, alongside one First Team All-MEC and two Honorable Mention All-MEC honors.

The Chardon, Ohio native was a part of very successful volleyball programs as a collegiate student-athlete. She spent time at the University of Cincinnati, Creighton University and Cleveland State University. In her time at UC, the Bearcats made program history ranking 22nd in the AVCA coaches poll and qualified for the NCAA Tournament, twice. With Creighton, Kostelac was an integral part of two teams that won the 7th and 8th consecutive Big East Title, and qualified for the NCAA Tournament, twice. The Bluejays were ranked 9th in the AVCA coaches poll in 2019 and top 15 in 2021. She was named a captain in her only season with CSU and achieved her 1,000th kill after recovering from her 3rd ACL surgery.

Following her playing days, Kostelac became the top assistant coach at Ursuline College in 2022. She has spent two seasons as a head coach at the RockCity Volleyball Club in Mentor, Ohio, training athletes and preparing them for collegiate play.
