BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Notre Dame College freshman
Sydney Bray has been recognized by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) as an All-Region selection. Bray garners Second Team honors, becoming the first Falcon to be named to an All-Region team since Mary Kate McHugh in 2019. In addition, Bray becomes the first freshman in NDC's 53-year program history (ex. 1970) to earn All-Region status. (

Bray, the MEC Freshman of the Year, a First Team All-MEC selection, member of the MEC All-Freshman Team and two-time MEC Player of the Week, led Notre Dame and the Mountain East Conference during the regular season with 4.54 points per set and 3.85 kills per set, ranking inside the top 30 nationally in both categories.
In her first collegiate season, the Woodstock, Ga. rewrote the NDC program record book, notching the most kills in a three-set match with 23 on Oct. 6 at Wheeling. On Oct. 13 vs. Glenville State, the Etowah High School product registered a career-high 25 kills, tied fifth-most during any match in program history. Moreover, the freshman is sixth in NDC single season history for kills per set.
Bray played in, and started all 25 matches (93 sets) for the Falcons, totaling 10 double-doubles and aiding the Falcons in several different avenues. She ranked first on the team in points (417) and kills (351), while being second on the team in aces (32), digs (259) and blocks (49).
