ERIE, Pa. – Led by
Olivia Jackson and
Peter Malo Jr., the Notre Dame College golf teams rounded out the fall season with competitions at Gannon and Mercyhurst.
While at Mercyhurst on Oct. 6-8, Jackson paced the NDC women's side who totaled 718 strokes as a team, with a 170 (86, 84). Fellow senior
Erin Frey shot a 171 (86, 85), as sophomore
Catalina Uribe added a 173 (89, 84) and freshman
Alayna Smith posted a 204 (108, 96).
While at Gannonon Oct. 7-9, the Notre Dame men's team finished in seventh place with 624 strokes, as Malo Jr. grabbed a 12
th place showing at 151 strokes (76, 75). Senior
Braden Nunez tallied a 155 (78, 77) in 22
nd place, freshman
Ronan Steel added 159 strokes (79, 80) in 31
st, graduate student
Alex Rapp followed up in 36
th place with 160 strokes (79, 81), while freshman
Zach Huscusson rounded out the team with a 169 (89, 80) in 50
th.
The Falcons will be back in action come spring time, as competition resumes in March 2024.
