ALLIANCE, Ohio – In just the second event of the season, Notre Dame College grabbed the first-place trophy. On Sunday, at Tannenhauf Country Club, the Falcons posted a 337 team score and had two individuals finish in the top three at the Mount Union Invite.
After coming in third place to begin the season at the Falcon Fall Invite last weekend, NDC put together a tremendous day on the course. It is the first event that NDC has won since defeating Ursuline College on Sept. 29, 2019.
At the Mount Union Invite, junior
Erin Frey led NDC and came in second place, overall, after she finished the day with an 81. Frey was just five strokes behind first place winner Mattie Muckleroy (Mount Union). Junior
Olivia Jackson finished tied for third, overall, after shooting 82.
Senior
Kara Leatherman and freshman
Catalina Uribe were not far behind, at 87.
Notre Dame will look to build on the momentum when they head to Lerona, W.Va. on Sept. 28 for the Concord Invite.
