United Soccer Coaches name Dyson All-American

Once again, Taylor Dyson has been named to an All-America team. The Notre Dame College midfielder earned Second Team honors from the United Soccer Coaches (USC), last week. He is the first player from NDC to be named to a USC All-America team since Leonardo Paiva in 2016. (Release)

Last week, the Falcons' sophomore was named Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America First Team and USC All-Atlantic Region First Team. Dyson adds this to his list of awards that he has gathered since the end of the regular season, earning D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team honors, All-Mountain East Conference First Team, MEC All-Tournament Team and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team.

The Manchester, England native led the Falcons this past season with 12 goals, 14 assists and 38 points. Dyson ended the year ranked first in the MEC in points and assists and second in goals. Throughout Division II, he ranks sixth in total assists, seventh in assists per game (0.64) and eighth in total points. In terms of NDC single-season records, Dyson was second in assists, seventh in shots on goal and 10th in points. In MEC single-season history, he ranks second in assists.

In the Falcons' five postseason contests, which includes MEC Tournament and NCAA Division II Tournament, Dyson scored a goal and totaled three assists. During the regular season, Notre Dame defeated No. 1 ranked Davis & Elkins, by a score of 4-0, on Oct. 5. Dyson was involved in every goal-scoring play, with a goal and three assists.

Dyson is one of four players in program history to be given All-America honors by two different outlets in the same season.
