Rankings: Notre Dame is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division II top 25 poll. According to the USC, the Falcons are fourth in the Atlantic Region.

Series History: Notre Dame has gone 5-1 against FSU since the teams first met in 2019, when Frostburg joined the MEC. Earlier this season, NDC defeated Frostburg State, 4-2, on Mueller Field.

Noting the Falcons: Notre Dame has won 10 games for the first time since 2019, when they had a 12-win campaign. The Falcons also put together the longest win streak in their NCAA Division II era, when they won eight straight games from Sept. 11 to Oct. 5. The streak included an upset victory over No. 1 ranked Davis & Elkins, on Oct. 5. When NDC lost last Sunday to No. 9 Charleston, it was NDC's first loss since Sept. 4.

Last week, the Falcons not only upset D&E, but they scored four times against the top team in D2. Although the Senators out-shot the Falcons, 14-8, NDC scored once in the first half and three in the second half. Taylor Dyson had an incredible game and was a part of every scoring play. He scored the first goal of the game and assisted on the last three. Connor O'Reilly, Simao Coelho and Ned Dry had the other three goals. Jordan Lewis was credited with an assist. The Falcons were held to just five shots last Sunday against Charleston. UC scored once in each half to win, 2-0.

Against Charleston, NDC goalkeeper Pedro Alves saved six shots, which was a career-high. He totaled nine saves over the two games. Alves now ranks 17th in the country with five shutouts this season. Among Division II players, Taylor Dyson is 10th in shots on goal per game (2), 11th in total assists (7), 16th in total points (21), 16th in assists per game (0.54), 25th in points per game (1.62) and 26th in shot accuracy (61.9-percent). As a team, the Falcons are 10th in total assists (28), 11th in total points (94), 11th in shots on goal per game (7.71), 13th in total goals (33), 18th in assists per game (2), 20th in points per game (6.7) and 22nd in goals per game (2.36).

Noting the Bobcats: Over the last week in a half, Frostburg State has defeated Concord (6-2), lost to Wheeling (3-2) and tied with West Liberty (4-4). Against Concord, on Oct. 5, Frostburg totaled 23 shots and scored three goals in each half. Kevin Garcia-Torres and Abdur-Rahman Neama each scored two goals. Frostburg took five more shots, and two more shots on target, than Wheeling in a matchup with the Cardinals. However, WU scored one more goal than FSU, the game-winner in the 65th minute. Frostburg led West Liberty, 4-2, in the 52nd minute, but West Liberty's Joseph Fonagy scored two goals in five minutes to tie the game.

In the matchup with West Liberty, Frostburg State had 20 players see time on the field, which is not out of the norm for the Bobcats this season. Blake Hoskins scored a goal and had three assists over the last week and a half. Alex Grasso had his first two goals and first assist of the year in the past three games.
