BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced their fall 2021 Academic Honors, recognizing student-athletes who had a grade point average of 3.25-4.0 during their championship season. Notre Dame College had 97 student-athletes listed, including 44 on the All-Academic Team. (

The Academic Honors are broken up into the All-MEC Academic Team (3.7-4.0 GPA) and the Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.25-3.69 GPA).
Football led the way with 36 players earning a spot, and 18 were named to the All-Academic Team. Men's soccer was not far behind with 25 players holding a GPA between 3.25 and 4.0.
Women's soccer had a very impressive semester as 11 of their 17 players honored held a GPA over 3.69 and nine players posted a 4.0. Volleyball had 14 players grab an Academic Honor.
"We have high standards to be champions on the court/field and in the classroom with all of our sports," said Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics
Scott Swain. "I firmly believe that you can be a scholar-athlete with the right expectations and work ethic. These accomplishments of our student-athletes prove that, once again. I am so proud of all of them and appreciate the work of our coaches to support their academic success."
