INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released the Division II football playoff bracket on Sunday evening and Notre Dame College was named the three seed in Super Region One. The Falcons will host Slippery Rock University, on Mueller Field. The game is scheduled for Nov. 20 with a 12 p.m. kickoff time.

Notre Dame and Slippery Rock are not strangers, as they went head-to-head in the 2018 and 2019 playoffs. The Falcons defeated SRU, at home, by a score of 21-17 in the 2018 NCAA Quarterfinals. The Rock hosted the 2019 matchup, also in the quarterfinals, and snuck past NDC in a 65-59 shootout.
"We are very excited to make the playoffs again," said head coach
Mickey Mental. "We are looking forward to playing a great program like Slippery Rock at home."
NDC just won their fourth consecutive Mountain East Conference title on Saturday, when they defeated Alderson Broaddus University by a score of 72-7. The Falcons finished the regular season with a 10-1 record overall, and a 9-1 mark in conference play. They are ranked No. 6 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) top 25 poll.
Slippery Rock went up against Kutztown in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship, yesterday. Slippery Rock finished the season with a 9-2 record (6-1 PSAC) and is currently No. 10 in the AFCA poll.
Shepherd University holds steady at the two seed following a 55-0 win over Clarion, to give the Rams 10 wins on the season. They will host the University of Findlay, who earned a playoff spot with a win against Tiffin University in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference title game.
The University of New Haven is the four seed and will play Bentley University in a rematch of their Nov. 6 matchup, which went UNH's way, 31-14. That is battle of two teams from the Northeast-10 Conference.
