This week: The Notre Dame College volleyball team plays three matches at home as West Liberty University, Concord University and Glenville State University all come to town. NDC will play the WLU Hilltoppers on Tuesday, then the CU Mountain Lions on Thursday, and rounding out with the GSU Pioneers on Friday. Each contest is slated for 7 p.m.

Records: NDC enters this week at 13-11, 4-5 MEC and in fourth place in the MEC North Division. WLU begins this week at 14-11, 5-4 MEC and in third place in the MEC North Division. CU is currently 5-13, 1-8 MEC and in fifth place in the MEC South Division. Lastly, GSU sits at 2-13, 0-9 MEC, placing them in the sixth and final spot in the MEC South Division.

Coaches Corner: Hannah Watson and
Anthony Mezacapa are in their first season as Co-Head Coach of the NDC program, with a career record of 13-11. Riley Schenk is the head coach of West Liberty in her second season, with career record of 21-14. Kate Dillion heads the Concord volleyball program with a career record of 64-123 in her 13
th season. Keven John is the head coach for Glenville State.

Series History: NDC is 8-11 all-time against WLU dating back to 2011. Tuesday will mark the second meeting between the two teams after NDC erased a two-set deficit to win in five sets on the road, back on Sept. 28. In addition, Notre Dame has a 4-3 all-time record against Concord since their first meeting in 2013. Lastly, NDC has bested Glenville State seven of eight times all-time since 2011.

Noting the Falcons: Notre Dame is coming off of a 1-1 week which featured a loss to Davis & Elkins and a win over West Virginia Wesleyan. On Tuesday, NDC was faced with a stingy D&E squad in what ended up being a highly contested and rowdy four set match. NDC would lose 22-25, 22-25, 25-20, 26-28 but was fueled by
Kelsie Palmer with 11 kills,
Jayme Zoeckler with 14 assists,
McKenzie Andrix with four service aces,
Amelia Kaeberlein with 22 digs and
Carli Derda and
Blaire Barr with five blocks each. Friday night against WVWC feature another quality match that took five sets to separate the two teams. NDC won by a score of 23-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-18, 15-11 and was carried by
Kaye Dregalla with 16 kills, Zoeckler with 25 assists, Kaeberlein and
Katie Richardson with two services aces each, Derda with five blocks and Kaeberlein with 24 digs.

On the season, Palmer has consistently led NDC attacking and has totaled 239 kills, the 4
th most in the Mountain East Conference. Andrix has been the leader in assists for NDC with 494, she sets up the Falcons attack to the tune of the 7
th most assists in the MEC. On defense, Kaeberlein has been one of the top liberos in the conference by generating 426 digs at a rate of 6.0 per set. Kaeberlein ranks 3
rd in the MEC in total digs, while being 2
nd in digs per set. Derda has been a menace at the net with 82 total blocks on the season, the 3
rd best mark in the MEC.

On average for the season, NDC has posted 11.8 kills per set, 11.2 assists per set, 1.5 service aces per set, 18.8 digs per set and 1.8 blocks per set. They have been allowing 12.2 kills per set, 11.4 assists per set, 1.5 service aces per set, 18.6 digs per set and 1.7 blocks per set.

Noting the Hilltoppers: Last week West Liberty went 1-1 during two five set contests. On Tuesday, WLU beat a very good West Virginia State team by a score of 13-25, 27-25, 26-24, 15-25, 15-12, to deliver the Yellow Jackets their first loss during Mountain East play this season. On Friday, WLU fell to Charleston 20-25, 28-26, 17-25, 25-22, 7-15.

Keep an eye out for Madison Clayton who has the 5
th most kills (235), 6
th best hit percentage (.309) and the most total blocks (100) in the MEC, she is the motor behind West Liberty.

On average for the season, WLU has grabbed 11.6 kills per set, 11.0 assists per set, 1.8 service aces per set, 17.0 digs per set and 1.9 blocks per set. In comparison, they have surrendered 12.5 kills per set, 11.8 assists per set, 2,4 service aces per set, 17.4 digs per set and 1.8 blocks per set.

Noting the Mountain Lions: Last week Concord went 1-2 and enter the week on a four-match MEC losing streak. On Tuesday, CU traveled to Fairmont State and lost in three sets, 14-25, 16-25, 11-25. The Mountain Lions would bounce back at home on Thursday against nonconference opponent Salem University. CU won in three sets by scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-20. Concord rounded out their week with a five-set loss at home to Frostburg State by scores of 25-21, 16-25, 26-24, 16-25, 10-15.

th in the MEC in total kills and 5
th in the conference in kills per set (3.51).

On average for the season, CU has played to the clip of 10.9 kills per set, 10.1 assists per set, 1.1 service aces per set, 14.1 digs per set and 1.9 blocks per set. Their opposition has allowed 13.2 kills per set, 12.2 assists per set, 2.0 service aces per set, 14.9 digs per set and 1.4 blocks per set.

Noting the Pioneers: Glenville State is coming off a tough week in which they lost both contests in three sets. Moreover, the Pioneers have lost their last six matches and have only managed to win one set during their nine matches in conference play this season. On Tuesday, GSU lost to Frostburg State 8-25, 20-25, 20-25, while on Friday Glenville State fell to Fairmont State 22-25, 11-25, 13-25.

Macie Skylar and Karlei Shaver are tied atop the team lead in kills with 95 on the season and will be the two top attackers the Pioneers have to counter NDC.
