INDIANA, Pa. -- Notre Dame College women's rugby had a successful day on the pitch, last Saturday, Oct. 9. At the all-day event, hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania, the Falcons snuck by Indiana (Pa.) with a 15-12 score, before cruising past Clarion University (65-0) and St. Vincent College (53-0).

The Falcons were led by

Aubrey Boing. The team showed progress over their previous matches, especially later in matches. Substitutes
Kori Dawkins,
Charlee McCormick and
Abbey Rose came off the bench and provided great energy.
The Falcons are now 6-1 this season and they have won those six matches by an average of 40.8 points. Six wins for the women's rugby program is the highest number they have had since the 2016-17 season.
They started the campaign with a tournament against three teams hosted by Fairmont State, on Sept. 25. NDC's only loss of the season came at the hands of Fairmont State, a final score of 22-15. That same day, Notre Dame defeated California University of Pennsylvania, 29-0, and Indiana (Pa.), the first time by a score of 40-5. The Falcons then visited the University of Pittsburgh on Oct. 3, and won 60-0.
NDC will visit Kent State University on Oct. 23.
