OSHKOSH, WI – On Saturday, several Notre Dame College women's rugby players were represented on the national stage, as
Kalie Blaising,
Lucy Leatherman,
Charlee McCormick and
Mary McLoughlin participated in the Heartland Elite Allstar Rugby Tournament. Led by NDC head coach
Vanessa Marsh, the four Falcons competed for the Ohio-Indiana side, as they claimed the Tier 2 Championship.

The Heartland Elite Allstar Rugby Tournament is a Regional U23 Women's Rugby All-star competition, between Midwest States and
other states. Eight state-based teams compete for the Best in the Midwest as players go on to become future Midwest Thunderbirds, and USA Eagles.
Under the direction of Marsh, the likes of Blaising, Leatherman, McCormick and McLoughlin brought home the Tier 2 Championship by dismantling Wisconsin 51-15, before besting Minnesota 27-21.
As a result of their stellar performances, Blaising and Leatherman were selected to the All-Tournament team, and received invites to the Midwest Thunderbirds camp.
The Midwest Thunderbirds are an elite-level All-Star programming for senior club rugby players under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Rugby Union.
