Jack Nece

Jack Nece became head coach of the Notre Dame College women's rugby program in August of 2021.

He led the Falcons to a 13-win season in his first season in the 2021-22 academic year. They went 3-1 in the Division I National Collegiate Rugby Tournament, defeating No. 13 ranked Roger Williams and No. 9 Colgate to earn the Northeast Regional Title. The team became national semifinalists and they defeated No. 3 Marquette to take third place in the country. At the NCR 7s Nationals in the Spring, NDC earned third place at the Women's Premier Champion Plate.

Nece began playing rugby in 2012 at Revere High School in Richfield, Ohio, where he graduated as a captain in 2014.

From 2014-18, Jack played for Ohio University RFC, co-captaining his senior year while holding multiple other positions within the organization. Due to medical issues, Nece retired from actively playing in 2018. While completing his master's degree, he was an assistant coach for OURFC, where his passion for coaching rugby began.

Since then, Nece has helped coach multiple high school programs in the Cleveland area, most recently for the women’s programs at Brecksville/Broadview Heights High School and John Marshall High School.
