She also finished third in parred holes (22) and eighth in holes birdied (4).
"I am extremely proud of Alex and happy for her for earning Player of the Week honors," head coach
Colleen Groomes said. "She played so well this weekend, and to step up like that as a freshman is very impressive. As I have said before, this entire team is dedicated to the process of becoming better each day. Alex is no exception, and that is why I was not surprised that she played so well this week. I am sure this was the first of many great tournaments for her and I am excited to see what the future holds."
Notre Dame will compete at the MEC Fall Classic on Monday and Tuesday, October 2 and 3.
