This week: Notre Dame College's next two games will be at home as they take on Shepherd University on October 18 at 12 p.m. and then West Virginia Wesleyan College on October 22 at 3 p.m.
Records: The Falcons currently hold a record of 9-4 overall and 6-3 in the Mountain East Conference. Shepherd is currently 0-13-1, overall, and 0-8 in the MEC. West Virginia Wesleyan is 8-4-2, 7-2 MEC this season.
Coaches Corner: Carl Nolan is in his second season as head coach of Notre Dame. His current coaching record stands at 19-9-2, 14-5-2 MEC. Alex Jones is in his first season as head coach of the Rams, after joining the staff as an assistant coach last season. Gavin Donaldson is in his 27th season as the head coach of the Bobcats and has a record of 327-171-51.

Series History: The Falcons are 9-0 against Shepherd, which includes a 3-1 victory this season, since the two teams started playing in 2013. Against WVWC, NDC has gone 6-2-1 since 2013. This season, they lost to the Bobcats, who were ranked 22nd in Division II at the time, by a score of 1-0.
Noting the Falcons: Against Concord University on October 12, the Falcons only goal of the game came off the foot of
Leonardo Paiva, his ninth goal of the season. The Falcons forward took eight shots and six shots on goal.
Daniele De Angelis had five saves in the game. Concord took only two shots in the first half, but then took 16 in the second half. Against Salem International University on October 15, the Falcons recorded a goal in each half of the game and
Leonardo Paiva had each of them. Paiva now leads the team with 11 goals, four game winning goals and 23 points. He is also tied for 20th in the country in total goals. NDC took 17 shots and seven shots on goal, as a team. De Angelis had six saves in the game and recorded his sixth shutout of the year. He now has 41 saves this season. For their performances, Paiva was named conference Offensive Player of the Week and
Daniele De Angelis won Defensive Player of the Week.
Noting the Rams: Shepherd lost to Washington Adventist University on October 9, at home. In the 2-1 loss, Ben Capriolo scored the only goal of the game for the Rams in the 84th minute to tie the game, but Daniel Moreira won the game with a goal in the 90th minute for WAU. Both teams took 10 shots in the game. Six different players took a shot for Shepherd. The Rams nearly had their first win of the season against Urbana University on October 15 as they led 1-0 at halftime. Jeff Kammerer had a goal in the 25th minute of action. The Rams would hold onto that lead until the 82nd minute when Jacob Wischmeier put the ball in the back of the net for the Blue Knights. The two teams went to overtime and in the 96th minute, Harry Tamplin scored the game winner. Urbana took 33 shots in the game and 16 shots on goal while Shepherd only took four shots. Alejandro Oliart leads Shepherd with eight points and four goals.
Noting the Bobcats: West Virginia Wesleyan only played one game last week, and beat Concord University, 2-1 on October 15. The Bobcats went up 1-0 on a goal by Juwon Akintunde, his 13th goal of the season, in the 24th minute. In the second half, Conor Davies had a goal in the 53rd minute to put WVWC up 2-0. Concord's only goal came with less than 15 minutes remaining as Pedro Bassin put the ball in the net. CU took six more shots than the Bobcats in the game. Cooper Kent recorded six saves for WVWC. As a team, West Virginia Wesleyan is tied for the conference lead with 36 goals this year and is second in the MEC in goals per game with an average of 2.77. Akintunde is seventh in the country in total goals and is tied for ninth in total points with 26.
