This week: Notre Dame College will play in Athens, W.Va. and take on Concord University at 3:30 p.m. on October 12 and then come back home for a non-conference battle with Salem International University at 3 p.m. on October 15.
Records: The Falcons currently hold a record of 7-4 overall and 5-3 in the Mountain East Conference. The Mountain Lions are 2-9-1 this season and 2-5 in the MEC. The Tigers are 7-3-2 in 2017.
Coaches Corner: Carl Nolan is in his second season as head coach of Notre Dame. His current coaching record stands at 17-9-2, 13-5-2 MEC. Steve Barrett is in his 14th season as a head coach for Concord and holds a record of 62-140-17 overall. Barrett was the head coach at Concord from 1999 until 2002 and the program was discontinued in 2003. He regained his position as head coach in 2008. The head coach for Salem International University is Florin Marton who is in his second stint as head coach, entering his eighth season this time around and his 15th campaign, overall. Marton coached the Tigers from 2000 until 2006 and then, after coaching at West Virginia Tech for three seasons, returned to Salem in 2010. Last season he coached Salem to a 4-10-2 record.

Series History: The Falcons are 8-0-1 against Concord since 2013 and this season, NDC beat CU 1-0 on September 17. Notre Dame holds a record of 2-0 against Salem International since they first played in 2012. Last season, NDC won the matchup by a score of 2-0.
Noting the Falcons: Last week, Notre Dame went up against the University of Charleston and lost to the number one team in Division II by a score of 3-0 on October 5. The Falcons did not allow a goal in the first half of the contest. Charleston put three shots in the back of the net in the second half by Williams N'Dah (52') and Will Roberts (64' and 83'). Roberts also assisted on the first goal. Notre Dame was held to four shots in the game and lost to UC by a score of 3-0 for the second time this season. NDC defeated Wheeling Jesuit University 2-1, in overtime, on October 8. After another scoreless first half,
Leonardo Paiva, who is tied for second in the conference with eight goals, scored the first goal in the 63rd minute after
Mats Jota passed the ball to the left side of the penalty box. The Cardinals tied the game in the 83rd minute, but NDC scored the golden goal when
Reymar Klochko put the ball in the net in the 97th minute. Five different players have scored a game winning goal for NDC, while Klochko and Paiva both have scored the winner twice this season.
Noting the Mountain Lions: On October 4th, Chowan University beat Concord 3-2 in comeback fashion. The Mountain Lions took 31 shots, including 16 in the second half. Maxime Ramioulle, in the 16th minute, and Sam Ashton, in the 52nd minute, scored the first two goals of the game to put Concord University ahead, 2-0. The Hawks then put three unanswered goals on the board from the 57th minute until the 90th minute. Josh Baker scored the first goal in the 57th minute for Chowan and Baker would also score the third, and game winning goal, in the 71st minute with an assist by Barkan Koprulugil. Concord lost to Charleston, 3-0, on October 8 after the Golden Eagles scored one goal in the first half, by Will Roberts, and then added two in the second, off the feet of Freddie Tracey and Gabriel Cabral. Concord's four shots in the game came in the second half. Sam Ashton leads the Mountain Lions with six goals and 12 points.
Noting the Tigers: Salem International wrapped up their contest with West Virginia Wesleyan tied at two goals on October 3. In a tightly contested match, Matthew Bentley started the scoring for the Bobcats in the 24th minute. Neither team could score again until the second half when, in the 59th minute, Federico Toschi tied the game for SIU and then Sjoerd Schobbers put the Tigers ahead in the 73rd minute. West Virginia Wesleyan's Conor Davies knotted things up at two in the 80th minute. Salem International took the only shot in overtime as neither team could grab the win in 20 extra minutes. On October 10, Salem International beat Slippery Rock University, 2-1. Mark Ferenczi-Bako (5') and Sjoerd Schobbers (59') had the goals for the Tigers. The Rock took one shot on goal, which resulted in a goal.
