SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- The Notre Dame College men's soccer team hosted the visiting Shepherd Rams in a battle of Mountain East Conference foes on Wednesday afternoon at Mueller Field. The Falcons used a second-half surge to cruise to a 6-0 win over the Rams.
The first half between the Falcons (7-4 overall, 6-2 Mountain East) and Rams proved scoreless, although NDC outshot Shepherd by a 7-2 margin of shots on goal.Â
However, the second half proved to be a much different story as the Falcons' offensive attack came to life in the final 45 minutes of regulation.
In the 10th minute of the second half,

Just a few minutes later in the 60th minute, Favero found the back of the net once again. The sophomore scored a free kick from 25 yards out, extending NDC's lead to 2-0.
But the scoring didn't stop there.
After scoring the first two goals of the game, Favero assisted
Joao Pedro Ribas de Oliveira on a 67th minute goal which gave NDC a 3-0 lead midway through the second half. A few minutes later in the 70th minute,
