Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- In a dominating performance on a Saturday afternoon that saw five goals netted along with five yellow cards issued, the Notre Dame Falcons defeated the Shepherd University Rams, 5-0.
The Falcons who improved to 9-3-2 and 6-2-2 in the Mountain East Conference, attacked the opposing goal by sending 31 shots and 17 shots on goal at the Rams. Shepherd, who fell to 6-7-1, 3-7-0 in the MEC, was limited to four shots with only one being on goal.

Spencer Semple had a lone save, while Alex Aleshire had 12 saves and five goals allowed in goal, for the Rams.
The scoring began in the 24th minute as Notre Dame was able to get the ball into the box and cause an own goal by Shepherd. Still in the first half at 29:21,
Adam Mitchell's kick found the back of the goal assisted by
Ryan Ware. Ware was able to find his teammates in position to score as he had two assists on the day.
In the second half, it was more of the same for the Falcons. At the 67:03 mark,
Jacob Earnest scored a goal, also assisted by Ware. In the 75th minute,
George Kennett got into the scoring column as his shot found the back of the net.
Matt Ramser was credited with the assist. Then Ramser scored a goal of his own to seal the game as he scored an unassisted goal in the 78th minute.
For Kennett and Ramser, today's goals marked their first of the season.Â
The game included two yellow cards given to Notre Dame along with three yellows issued to Shepherd.
Notre Dame returns to play their final home contest of the season on Saturday, Oct.25, against the Concord University Mountain Lions. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 pm.
