SHEPERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Notre Dame College Men's soccer team got back to winning ways with an impressive 5-0 win on the road at Shepherd.
The Falcons (7-1-0) had five different goal scorers on the day with
Adam Mitchell,
Badou Drammeh,
Renan Troccoli,
Martin Lange and
Stefan Bogdanovic all scoring.
The Falcons had a 1-0 lead at half time courtesy of a 34th minute
Adam Mitchell strike, his fifth goal of the season, with
Renan Troccoli providing the assist.
The game opened up in the second half with the Falcons making use of the depth of their roster to continually push forward throughout. The Falcons were rewarded for their endeavors with four goals.
Badou Drammeh was assisted by
Renan Troccoli in the 45th minute, to score his first goal of the season.
Renan Troccoli then grabbed his goal for himself following two assists, his third of the season, in the 49th minute.
Martin Lange was assisted by
Ryan Ware in the 67th minute to score his third goal of the season and the icing on the cake was an unassisted goal for
Stefan Bogdanovic, his first of the season, in the 79th minute.
"It was a good game to bounce back with," said Associate Head Coach
Carl Nolan. "The boys were ready to get back on the field and the quick turnaround helped. We put a good performance together, particularly in the second half, and it was great to see the team push on after a number of changes in the second half."
The Falcons will finish three straight road games with a trip to Urbana on Wednesday October 2nd to take on the Blue Knights at 4:30 p.m.
