Box Score
FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The Notre Dame College men's soccer team fell in double overtime in the final of the Mountain East Conference Tournament. The Falcons conceded a 107th minute goal to fall 1-0 to the University of Charleston Golden Eagles.

The Falcons outshot the Golden Eagles 22-8 in the game but were unable to produce a finishing touch.

Playing on the campus of Fairmont State University at Duvall Rosier Field the game was scoreless through the regulation 90 minutes and the first 10 minutes of overtime. It wasn't until the second period of overtime and the 106th that Augusto Maciel scored the decisive goal for the Golden Eagles.

The Falcons who claime the MEC regular season title finish the regular season with a 15-3-0 record.

"We lacked quality in the final third today" said Associate Head Coach Carl Nolan. "Both the teams are very good and small margins have decided our games this season. We are proud of the effort and discipline exhibited by the team today and we will move on a look forward to the opportunities ahead."

Alexander Parkes, Tom Owens and Adam Mitchell were named to the MEC All-Tournament team.

The Falcons who were ranked No. 4 in the NSCAA National Coaches poll and No.1 in the NCAA Atlantic Soccer Region  will now await the NCAA Division II playoff selections. The selections will be revealed live on NCAA.com on Monday Nov. 11 at 7:00 p.m.
