SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame College Men's Soccer team remained unbeaten at home with a 2-0 victory over Wheeling Jesuit on a wet day at Mueller Field.

The Falcons (12-2-0) produced a solid performance in challenging conditions to secure the victory and three points.

NDC controlled possession from the outset but were unable to create a solid goal scoring opportunity until the 32nd when
Ryan Ware created some space for himself on the edge of the box before firing a rocket into the top left hand corner. The goal was Ware's third of the season.

The Falcons outshot the Rams 10-3 in the first half but were unable to add to their lead and had to settle for a 1-0 lead at the half.

The second half was progressed in similar fashion to the first half with the falcons controlling possession and creating a number of chances. The Falcons also made use of their bench with
Tom Owens,
Carlo Manna,
Badou Drammeh and
Stefan Bogdanovic all making strong contributions.

NDC doubled their lead in the 52nd minute through
Adam Mitchell. The junior forward scored his twelfth goal of the season, latching onto a
Badou Drammeh through ball before powering a shot under the Shepherd goalkeeper and into the net.

The Falcons continued to press throughout the game but a solid Shepherd defense prevented any further goals and NDC came away with a 2-0 victory.

The Falcons now have a week's break before heading to Concord next weekend to take on the Mountain Lions from Concord on Saturday Oct. 26 at 2;00 p.m.
