Falcons dominate Lake Erie 3-0

PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The Falcons won their second straight road game, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon against Lake Erie.

Notre Dame (2-0) dominated the 90-minute affair, controlling the action at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium.  The Falcon defense was solid, holding LEC to just three shot in the first 45 minutes of play.

Notre Dame was led by junior midfielder Tom Owens.  Owens netted two goals in the game and added an assist.  Owens found the net at the 21:17-mark in the first period and at the 38:12-mark in the second period.  Freshman forward Renan Trocoli added the third goal of the game with 19 seconds remaining in the game.

Lake Erie goalkeeper Filip Ljubevski collected nine saves in a losing effort.  NDC outshot the Storm, 26-6.

The Falcons will play their first home game of the year at Korb Field on Tuesday (7 p.m. vs. Salem International-W. Va.).
