The Blue and White fell behind early to Northwood (Mich.) when Mitchell Brent scored to put the Timberwolves on top 1-0. Northwood (Mich.) played physical all night and it was not until late in the firs-half that the Falcons could net their first goal.
Jacob Sheppard scored – his third of the season – in the 43
rd minute to even things up before halftime.
The match remained even until the Falcons went on a scoring surge late in the second-half.

Dean Miller for his ninth goal of the year to put the Falcons on top 2-1 – in the 73
rd minute of the match.
It didn't take long for the Falcons to tack on their next goal.
Christian Earnest was fouled in the box, 36 seconds later, forcing a penalty kick.
Tom Owens took the spot kick and scored – his ninth of the season.
Christian Earnest then scored – his twelfth of the year – in the 79
th minute to conclude the scoring by the Falcons.
With the win, Notre Dame secured their 13
th consecutive win a team from Michigan and their second straight undefeated regular season. Head Coach Michael Mac McBride and his boy's have never lost to a team from the northern state.
In the loss, the No. 4 Midwest Regional Northwood dropped to 8-4-3 after defeating NCAA-II No. 22 Saginaw Valley 3-2 on Thursday.
The Falcons will next be in action at Korb Field on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the semifinal of the Ohio Independent Conference Tournament.
NDC will play hosts to a team to be named after the final regular season matches. Urbana hosts Cedarville at 7 p.m. to decide the final standings of the OIC.
If Malone beats Urbana there will be a three-way tie for the second seed – Cedarville, Walsh, and Malone. However if Urbana beats Malone they would then take on NDC and Walsh would host Cedarville. If Malone and Urbana tie, the Falcons would host Malone and Walsh would host Cedarville.
