The Falcons (12-0-0) got goals from
Daniel Knight,
Tom Owens (two) and
Dean Miller. With the win coming at Korb Field, the Blue & White are now 4-0-0 at home this season. With the victory over Malone (7-6-0), Notre Dame has now won 29 consecutive regular-season matches.
Daniel Knight netted Notre Dame's first goal in the 14th minute of the match when he banged home a rebound in traffic. Knight's goal - his second of the season -- was followed in the 17th minute by
Tom Owens, who scored on a penalty kick.
Junior
Dean Miller scored NDC's third goal, on a feed from
Martin Lange, at 55:35. Malone answered with an Adam Sharpnack goal in the 69th minute, but Owens scored his second of the night mere moments later, and Notre Dame re-established its three-goal lead, 4-1.
With his two goals on Tuesday, Owens has now tallied six netfinders this season and extended his point streak to five games.
Senior keeper
Alex Klein made three saves in registering his third win of the year. Klein holds a 33-2-0 career mark for the Falcons.
