This Week:Â Notre Dame College acrobatics & tumbling competes in its first road meet of the season, on Feb. 16. The Falcons will be in West Liberty, W.Va. in a Mountain East Conference meet with West Liberty University and West Virginia State University.
Records:Â Notre Dame and West Liberty are both 0-1, to start the year. W.Va. State is competing for the first time.

Nikki Pizzi is in her second season at NDC and Kelsey Kyle is in her fourth season at WLU. Kaitlyn Miller was named head coach to start the WVSU program.
Rankings:Â None of these teams are ranked in the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) national poll.
Noting the Falcons: Notre Dame started this season strong with a program record 233.685 points against No. 12 ranked Frostburg State, last weekend. Despite falling to the Bobcats, NDC did not show much rust to begin the year. The Falcons were given a 7.7 out of 8.8 in the 450 Salto Heat and then an 8.35 out of 9.00 in the Open Heat. In that Toss Event, NDC totaled 23.55, which was 3.25 away from the start value.
The Falcons also stood out in the Tumbling Event, outscoring Frostburg State in a couple heats. The Falcons had a 6.80 out of 7.50 in the Duo Pass. And then in both the Trio Pass (8.25 out of 9.1) and in the Quad Pass (7.5 out of 8.5), Notre Dame earned a higher score than the Bobcats.Â

Kati Rice totaled 8.85 in the Open Pass. Both of those individual passes had a start value of 9.1.

They posted an 8.30 out of 9.50 in the Inversion Pyramid Heat and had an 8.60 out of 9.60 in the Open Pyramid Heat. The Falcons were off of their start value by just 3.75 points in the Pyramid Event.

Last season, Notre Dame only hit the 200-point mark just once, and it came against West Liberty.
Noting the Hilltoppers:Â Last season, West Liberty went 4-7, overall, but 3-2 against MEC competition. The Hilltoppers posted a 249.925 in the first round of the MEC Championships, but lost to Fairmont State.

To start this season, West Liberty and Glenville State were extremely close on Feb. 3. At halftime, through three events, the Hilltoppers led the Pioneers, 93.9-93.15. The two teams were still separated by a point until GSU put up a 94.19 in the team event to West Liberty's 92.44. Glenville State won by a score of 265.915-264.74.
