FAIRMONT, W.Va. – On Saturday afternoon, Notre Dame College competed against Fairmont State University to wrap up the 2024 campaign. NDC put up another strong score of 245.510, while No. 8 ranked FSU had a final tally of 270.865.
To start the meet, Notre Dame recorded a 35.3, out of 40, in the Compulsory Event. The NDC Falcons hovered around last week's scores throughout the event, which included a 9.35 in the Pyramid Heat and a program-record 9.8 in the Toss Heat. After the first event, Notre Dame trailed by just 2.55.
The NDC Falcons also improved their total score in the Acro Event from last week, putting up a 24.15. After a smooth 6-element Pass, Notre Dame was given an 8.20 in that heat, up over two points from the previous meet.
In the Pyramid Event, Notre Dame also improved its score from last week's meet, posting a 25.80. And in the Toss Event, NDC was just 1.45 off of its start value, with a 26.35. Notre Dame scored an 8.75, with a start value of nine, in the 450 Salto, an 8.7, out of 9.4, in the Synchronized Pass and an 8.9, out of 9.4, in the Open Pass.
The NDC Falcons also had a few solid heats in the Tumbling Event, including a 8.5, out of 8.85, by
Amanda Cooper in the Aerial Pass. In the 6-element,
Sydney Gibson posted a 9.15, with a start value of 9.5, and
Kati Rice went across the mat in the Open Pass, finishing with an 8.9, out of 9.1.
In just its second season as a program, Notre Dame College Acrobatics & Tumbling wraps up the season with a 4-4 record, including one conference victory. The NDC Falcons set a new program record score multiple times throughout the campaign and hit the 250-mark on March 21, against Glenville State.
