Records: Notre Dame is 0-4, but did score the most team points (184.355) in program history against Glenville State, on Feb. 27. West Liberty enters this matchup with a 2-4 record, with all four losses coming against top 14 teams in the country. The Hilltoppers have lost two in a row.
Coaches Corner: Nikki Pizzi was named the first head coach of Notre Dame's program in August 2021. Kelsey Kyle is in her fourth season at the helm of the West Liberty program.
Rankings: In the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) national poll, West Liberty is ranked No. 15 in the country.
Noting the Falcons: The last time NDC took the mat, they were competing for the second time in three days. Facing Glenville State for the second time this season, back on Feb. 27, Notre Dame put up program record numbers. Not only did they total 184.355 points, but they also set program marks in the pyramid event (25.45), tumbling event (43.575) and the team event (47.68).
Noting the Hilltoppers: All four West Liberty losses have come against nationally ranked teams. The Hilltoppers fell to No. 1 Baylor (267.050-238.510), No. 2 Gannon (265.480-247.165), No. 12 Frostburg State (255.785-238.465) and No. 11 King University (259.380-257.330). In an important Mountain East Conference matchup, back on Feb. 19, WLU snuck past Glenville State, 249.410-248.805. The Hilltoppers currently sit in fourth place in the MEC standings and the top four teams will qualify for the conference tournament.
