Women's swimming recognized as CSCAA Scholar All-America Team for fourth consecutive season

RICHMOND, Va. – Another tremendous year in the pool and in the classroom for the Notre Dame College women's swimming and diving program has been recognized. The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released its 2022 Fall Scholar All-America teams and the Falcons were featured once again. (Release)

The selections for the honor were based on the student-athletes' fall semester grade point averages. Notre Dame's women's program had a 3.5 team GPA, marking the fourth consecutive season, and the fifth time since 2016 that they have been named a Scholar All-America Team.

"I am incredibly proud of the women's team," head coach Stephanie Mulvin said. "They make being a student-athlete look easy when, in fact, not many teams can say they have achieved Academic All-American status, let alone do it countless times over the past six years. Reaching this status has become a standard and expectation for them and I am so proud of the way they hold each other accountable to reach it. This is something to hang your hat on. Congratulations ladies!"

Last week, for the third consecutive season, the Falcons placed second at the Mountain East Conference Championships.

"Our Falcon women's swimming student-athletes truly excel both in the pool and in the classroom on a consistent basis year after year. This group of women are a model of what young girls should look up to. I am so proud of these women and they are the best of the best at our College. When they graduate they will surely achieve great things in this world." said Scott Swain, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
