FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Feb. 12, 2023 will always be a historic day for the Notre Dame College Acrobatics & Tumbling program. On Sunday, the NDC Falcons completed their first meet in program history, going up against No. 7 Fairmont State University and Glenville State University. NDC finished in third place with a total score of 179.67.

The NDC Falcons showed no fear when they entered the compulsory event to start the day. The team scored a 9.25 out of 10 in the pyramid heat and a 9.00 in the toss heat. NDC had a score of 31.45 after the first four heats.
"I couldn't have asked for any more from them today," Pizzi mentioned. "The fact that they scored two 9s in compulsories for their first ever meet is so incredible. I cannot wait to build on today and continue to dominate the rest of this historical season."
In the open pyramid heat, Notre Dame scored an 8.7 out of 9.2. Across the entire pyramid event, the NDC Falcons totaled 25.2, just three off of their start value.
Over the three events of the first half, Notre Dame posted a score of 75.6.
NDC had some solid performances in the tumbling event. In the aerial pass, Notre Dame scored an 8.25 out of 8.75 along with an 8.125 out of 8.5 in the open pass. The NDC Falcons posted a score of 42 in tumbling.
In the second half, NDC added 104.07 to the score.
Notre Dame will host No. 12 Frostburg State University, on Feb. 25. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
