This Week: Notre Dame College acrobatics & tumbling begins the program's first season, on Feb. 12, with a tri-match against No. 7 Fairmont State University and Glenville State University. The meet is hosted by Fairmont State and will begin at 2 p.m.
Records: Last season, Fairmont State had a record of 9-2 (6-0 MEC), while Glenville State went 1-5.
Coaches Corner: Nikki Pizzi was named the first head coach of Notre Dame's program in August 2021. Taylor Broadwater enters her first season as head coach at Glenville State. Danielle Cutri is in her third season at Fairmont State.
Rankings: In the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) preseason poll, Fairmont State was ranked No. 7 in the country.

Noting the NDC Falcons: Notre Dame will be competing for the first time ever, on Sunday. NDC Athletics officially added the sport of Acrobatics & Tumbling in May 2021 and it has been sponsored by the Mountain East Conference since 2019.

Noting the FSU Falcons: Fairmont State has been the dominant program in the MEC since 2019. The Falcons have won three consecutive conference championships. Last April, Fairmont defeated Frostburg State, 256.695-255.55 in the MEC Championship meet and then fell to No. 2 Azusa Pacific University, in the NCATA Tournament. Since the beginning of the 2019 season, the FSU Falcons have never lost an MEC matchup and have an overall record of 28-4.

Noting the Pioneers: In the first MEC tournament, back in 2019, Glenville State was the two seed. The Pioneers defeated W.Va. Wesleyan that year, but lost to Fairmont State in the championship meet. GSU lost in the first round in 2021 and did not make the tournament last year. In 2022, Glenville State defeated Alderson Broaddus for its only win of the season.
