OBERLIN, Ohio – The Notre Dame College swimming and diving team kicked off their 2023-24 campaign at the Oberlin Early Invite this past weekend, with the women's team placing fourth with 325 points and the men's team finishing sixth with 292 points.

Riley Monahan and
Courtney Ledbetter jumped in the pool first for NDC, grabbing a third-place finish in the 200-yard free relay with a time of 1:46.47.
Next,
Luis Aguilar Delgado,
Joshua Stokes,
Kostadinos Floros-Angelinas and
Samuel Ganim secured a fourth-place finish in the men's 200-yard free relay at a time of 1:30.19.
The quartet of Dawlett,
Jordan Stump, Monahan and Junge rounded out the first day of action with a four-place showing in the 400-yard medley relay (4:25.05), as the squad of Stokes,
Lucas Vandewinckel,
Adonis Thomas and Aguilar Delgado touched the wall in fifth (3:49.20).
The relays continued to post points for Notre Dame as
Sydney Grzincic, Stump, Dawlett and Ledbetter earned another fourth in the 200-medley relay (1:59.08). The men's side added fifth in the same event as Stokes, Vandewinckel, Aguilar Delgado and Floros-Angelinas swam a 1:43.18.
Aguilar Delgado and Stump highlighted day two with a pair of second place finishes. Aguilar Delgado swam a 54.18 in the men's 100-yard fly, while Stump tallied a 1:12.21 in the women's 100-yard breaststroke.
In the women's 200-yard free, Monahan was awarded fifth-place at a time of 2:08.96.
Both Falcon relays marked fifth place finishes in the 800-yard free relays as the women owned a time of 8:56.65 and the men claimed a time of 7:50.91.
The 100-yard IM featured a fourth-place from Stump (1:05.99) and fifth place from Aguilar Delgado (55.64).
Stump closed out a solid opening weekend with a time of 2:37.89 in the 200-yard breaststroke (4
th).
Once again, the men's and women's relays each took home fifth place, this time in the 400 free relay at times of 3:24.53 and 3:58.47.
The Oberlin Early Invite featured competition from Case Western Reserve, Oberlin, Ashland, Alama and Malone over the two-day event.
The Notre Dame College swimming and diving team will be back in action on Friday Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. at Baldwin Wallace University.
