SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- This past weekend, the Notre Dame College women's rugby program kicked off their season's preparation, against the Alumni. It was a hard-fought battle, from the first whistle to the last, with NDC narrowly losing 7-0, in a match that was unfortunately called off early. Even though the weather did not play along, with rain coming down the entire day, it did not damper the enthusiasm of the two teams competing. The match was played with great spirit and both teams left the pitch with smiles all around.
 
"We would like to thank all the alumni for competing and helping us prepare for UNI this weekend," the NDC coaching staff said. "Be sure to support our NDC women's team as they officially kick-off their 2022 season."

NDC women's rugby begins the regular season playing at the Chicago Lions' field this coming weekend, competing against No. 3 ranked University of Northern Iowa. Last winter, NDC fell to top-ranked UNI, 35-29, in the National Collegiate Rugby Semifinals.
