COLUMBUS -- The Notre Dame College women bowlers opened the Spring semester with a second-place finish in an Ohio Bowling Conference meet in Columbus on Saturday, Jan. 22 as the NDC men finished sixth. Notre Dame's junior varsity squads were second in the women's division and fifth on the men's side. Contested at Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl, the tournament featured teams from 13 schools bowling three full team games and 20 Baker games.
The NDC women vaulted into first place with a second game total of 949. It was the highest women's team game of the day on the challenging College Bowling Medium No. 4 oil pattern, on which the women's varsity field averaged just 152. The Falcons maintained the lead until the final three Baker games, when the Walsh University squad pulled in front to finish the day 21 pins ahead of Notre Dame.
Freshman
Asia Wells led all Falcon women, averaging 196 with a three-game total of 589, finishing second among 86 competitors in the women's division. Wells and freshman
Olivia Brace, who totaled 557, claimed the top two spots on the women's junior varsity all-tournament team and led NDC's junior varsity squad as they, too, finished second to Walsh University. Freshman
Rachel Foreback matched Brace's 557 total, tying for tenth in the women's field. Fifth-year senior
Lauren Alexander was ninth with 558.
Junior

Logan Reedy was 20th with 564. Patrick-Holmes made the men's varsity all-tournament team, while Reedy earned a berth on the men's junior varsity all-tournament team. The men's varsity title was claimed by Muskingum University, and the men's junior varsity division was won by Robert Morris University (PA).
The Falcon bowlers will return to Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl on Feb. 12 for the final Ohio Bowling Conference meet of the regular season.
