BALTIMORE - Former Notre Dame College baseball player, Tanner Scott, made his Major League debut Wednesday, September 20 with the Baltimore Orioles. Scott threw in the eighth inning against the Redsox, allowing two runs on two hits while also recording one strike out.
His fastball reached 100 mph and manager Buck Showalter complimented his slider after the game.
"About like I thought it would be," Showalter said of Scott's debut. "The slider has come a long way for him. His presentation was good. He didn't always show it. He's always been that type of guy. That's what's intriguing about him.
