SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The Notre Dame College baseball team split games at Shepherd in a doubleheader on Saturday. NDC won game one 4-2 and lost game two 15-0.
In game one, the Falcons took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning as
Zach Santoro drove in the first run and scored the second. Shepherd came back to tie things up with a run scored in the fifth and seventh innings, but NDC was able to secure the win in extra innings.
Like Santoro in the fourth inning,
Danny Beaver was able to do it all in the eighth inning by driving in the go-ahead run and scoring the fourth run for the Falcons.

Kevin Guzik. Guzik, a freshman from Mayfield Heights earned his first save of the season after facing four batters and allowing no runs.
In the second game, it was all Rams as they out-hit the Falcons 16-2. Shepherd scored their 15 runs in the third and sixth innings. In between those innings, NDC pitching did well as
Todd Marshall (1.1 innings pitched) and
Danny Matic (1.0 innings pitched) faced a combined eight batters and allowed just one hit.
