SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Friday night in Murphy Gym marked Senior Night for the Notre Dame College wrestling team, as the Falcons hosted the West Liberty Hilltoppers in their final home meet of the season. The Falcons handled the Hilltoppers with ease, picking up a 40-6 win over WLU.

Before the meet began, the team recognized its six Falcon wrestler seniors: Jacob Goodwin, Andrew Bannister, Narcisico Inchaurregui, James Jenkins, Jonatan Rivera and Joey Davis.

However, the meet would begin in favor of WLU, with the Hilltoppers winning the first two matches at 125 lbs and 133 lbs.

Trailing 6-0 after two matches, the Falcons turned up the intensity and never looked back. 

Cobey Fehr, who was recently named D2Wrestle National Wrestler of the Week, continued his hot streak with a quick victory via pinfall just 40 seconds into his match. Next at 149 lbs, Isaac Dulgarian followed suit with a pinfall victory of his own, winning the 149 lb match in just 30 seconds.

Jonatan Rivera picked up a hard-fought 6-3 win at 157 lbs before Juwan Edmond (165 lbs) and Justan Rivera (174 lbs) each won via Major Decision, 15-5 and 19-6, respectively.

At 184 lbs, Joey Davis improved to 119-0 in his career with a pinfall victory (3:13) over WLU's Doug Sizemore. Garrett Lineberger capped the evening with a 17-2 Tech Fall decision at 197 lbs, giving the Falcons a 40-6 win over the Hilltoppers.

The Falcons will return to action on Friday, Feb. 5 on the road at Wheeling Jesuit University. Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
