Box Score PEPPER PIKE, Ohio – The Notre Dame Falcons played a  non-conference match against Ursuline on Tuesday afternoon, and fell to the Arrows in four sets. 
For the Falcons (1-11) the loss was their sixth on the road this season, while the victory for the Arrows (5-11) was their second in their last three matches. 
In the opening set, the Arrows took an early advantage. They had a 6-2 lead early on, which eventually grew into a seven point (12-5) lead, before the Falcons came charging back. Notre Dame tied the game at 14-14, and eventually took a 17-16 lead, before the Arrows scored the next three points to regain the lead, and closed out the set with a 25-23 victory. 
The second set saw the Falcons take an early 3-0 lead, before the Arrows came back, and eventually took a 10-5 lead. The five point deficit would prove to be a bit too much for Notre Dame to overcome, as they were not able to get any closer than three the rest of the way, and fell, 25-19. 
The Falcons were on fire to start the third set, which began with a 5-0 NDC run. Notre Dame led, 7-1, but the Arrows came back again. They tied the set at 8-8, and a close battle would ensue. The set was tied at 18-18, before the Falcons went on a 7-2 run to close it, in a 25-20 victory. 
The fourth set didn't go so well for Notre Dame, as the arrows scored four of the first five points of the set, and never trailed, closing out the match with a 25-12 victory. 
Lindsay Shirilla led the way for the Falcons with 16 kills on the night, and added 13 digs. 
Tawny Flareau had four service aces on the night and led NDC with 17 assists to go along with 19 digs. 
Shelby Regiec had 11 assists and 14 digs, while 
Tawnia Almaraz led NDC with 31 digs on the night. Shirilla and 
Ashley Ohsiek led NDC with four blocks each. 
The Falcons are in action again on Friday, Oct. 2, when they play host to Shepherd in a Mountain East Conference tilt at Murphy Gymnasium. The contest is scheduled for a 7 PM start.
