Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- The Notre Dame College women's soccer team fell short in a Mountain East Conference matchup against the Charleston Golden Eagles on Sunday afternoon, losing 1-0.
The Falcons and Golden Eagles battled back and forth in a low-scoring affair, as neither side was able to create many offensive chances. NDC outshot UC by a 4-3 margin in the first half, but was unable to find the back of the net.

Louisa Rygh made two saves in the first half for NDC as both sides went into the halftime intermission in a scoreless tie.
The offensive draught continued throughout the large majority of the second half, leaving the game still scoreless after 75 minutes of play. In the 80th minute, however, the Golden Eagles' offense finally broke through with a goal from Lauren Haven, taking the 1-0 lead over NDC.
NDC's offense pushed for late-game offense, but was unable to put together an offensive chance, leading to a 1-0 road loss to Charleston.
With the loss, the Falcons drop to 4-3-1 overall, including a 3-2-1 record in MEC play.
NDC will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at home against Fairmont State in another MEC title. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
