Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame Falcons fell in three sets to the Lake Erie Storm in their final non-conference match of the season on Tuesday night.
The Falcons (2-25) lost for the 10th time at home this season, while the victory for the Storm (9-18) was their second in as many tries against the Falcons this season.
Lake Erie came out red hot, as they took the lead in the opening set and never let go, in a 25-14 victory. The Falcons had a late lead, but saw that slip away in the second set, as the Storm came from behind to take a 25-23 victory in game two, before edging out the Falcons, 27-25 in the final set.
Once again,
Lindsay Shirilla led the way for Notre Dame with 11 kills on the night, and
Ashley Ohsiek wasn't far behind with nine.
Amanda Stookey was NDC's leader in assists with 20, while
Shelby Regiec added 15.
Tawnia Almaraz paced the Falcons with 13 digs, and
Kristen Hill added 10.
The Falcons return to action on Friday, Nov. 13, when they play host to Glenville State at Murphy Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
