Box Score The Notre Dame Falcons dominated the Carlow Celtics by a score of 6-0 on a cold, wet day at Normandy Field.
This was NDC's first game of the season after their matchup with Davis & Elkins on Thursday, Sept. 4 was canceled due to inclement weather.
The Falcons were aggressive early on the slick turf as they had multiple shots on goal, eventually leading to a Falcons goal at 27:21 by junior

Alexis Manoa on the assist. At the half, the Falcons had 12 shots on goal, while the Celtics had zero.
Carlow tried to turn the tides and came out aggressive in the second half. Their first shot on goal came within three minutes of the second half. However, the Falcons took a 2-0 lead as Defilippo scored her second goal of the contest at the 51:34 mark. Manoa again had the assist.
Junior Katherine Beattie and Manoa then scored back-to-back goals within five seconds to give NDC a 4-0 lead, and the Falcons never looked back.
At the 61:03 mark, Manoa scored off a penalty kick and the lead extended to 5-0. Sophomore
Natalie Ockunzzi capped the scoring for the Falcons with a goal at 83:44, assisted by sophomore
Lacey Marcoux.
The Falcons had 11 shots in the second half, and 23 in the game. The Celtics had five shots in the game

The Falcons will play next Saturday, Sept. 13 at home against Wheeling Jesuit. It will mark NDC's first conference game of the season. Kick-off is scheduled for noon.
