Villanova, PA. -- The Notre Dame College men's rugby team took to the road this past Saturday, Sept. 13 to defend their Mid-Atlantic Rugby Conference title against the host Villanova Rugby Club. The match against Villanova was NDC's first conference matchup of the 2014 fall season.
Both 'A' and 'B' games were played at Villanova Stadium, and both matches resulted in impressive victories for NDC.Â
For the Falcons, the 'A' side started off the day with a crushing 46-3 victory over Villanova. The Falcons scored seven tries, four conversions and a penalty kick in the route. On the 'B' side of competition, the Falcons beat Villanova by a shutout score of 15-0 to remain undefeated in MARC play, including all of last season.Â
The Notre Dame College men's rugby team will compete next on Saturday, Sept. 20 at home in South Euclid, Ohio as the Falcons play host to Rowan University. The match is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.
