SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Notre Dame College women's soccer team completed the regular season with a 1-0 victory over Urbana.
The Falcons (15-1-0, 13-1-0 MEC) completed the first unbeaten home record in program history to go 8-0-0 at home on the season.

Kathrine Beattie scored a very well taken goal in the 23rd minute to secure the Falcon victory. Beattie was able to win the ball in Blue Knights territory and turn inside the last defender before firing home a left-footed shot.

The Falcons held the advantage over the Blue Knights in both shots (21-9) and corner kicks (4-3) and produced yet another gritty performance.

The Falcons were led by sophomore forward Kathrine Beattie  who had eight shots and freshman forward Natalie Ockunzzi who had five shots.

In addition to the strong offensive performance, goalkeeper Kristy Kolschetzky produced her best performance of the season to secure her 13th shutout of the season. Kolschetzky recorded seven saves in the game.

The Falcons will now have a ten day break before heading to the Mountain East Conference tournament. The tournament will be hosted at Fairmont State University on Thursday November 7th and Saturday November 9th. The Falcons will head into the tournament as the No.1 seed as a result of winning the MEC regular season title and will play the No.4 seed in the conference tournament semi-final.
