SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio –
The Notre Dame College women's soccer team moved to 13-1-0 and 7-0-0 at home with a solid 1-0 victory over West Liberty.

On a chilly day at Mueller Field the Falcons limited the Hilltoppers to four shots to record their eleventh shut out of the season and their thirteenth victory.

The Falcons started the game strongly controlling possession from the outset. The Falcons were rewarded in the 32nd minute when sophomore forward Kathrine Beattie (Madison, Ohio) powered the ball into the net from 16 yards out with her left foot. Senior Meghan Doraty (Medina, Ohio) provided the assist.

The Falcons continued to apply pressure throughout the second half and despite having 14 shots in the game were unable to add to their lead.

The Falcons however again produced a very strong defensive performance. Senior goalkeeper Kristy Kolschetzky (Mentor, Ohio) recorded her eleventh shutout of the season and is currently ranked fifth in the NCAA Division II in goals against average.

The Falcons, who are currently ranked sixth in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region, will now travel to Concord to play the Mountain Lions on Saturday Oct. 26 and then play at home on Tuesday Oct. 29 at 4:00 p.m. against the Blue Knights from Urbana.
